After Graduation and some college I ended up in the Navy - ASW in P-3's based in Argentia Newfoundland, and then back to college. I completed my Bachelors in Anthropology, Masters in Education, and Masters in Educational Business Finance and Administration. Some where in there I completed my Single and Multiple subject teaching credentials. While in grad school I joined the Berkeley Police Dept when there was a freeze on academy placements do to protests about the physical agility testing. So I completed my credentials & started teaching 6th grade. Acquired my Administrative Credentials and tried that for awhile. Met my wife Laurie and got married while we were Administering ACLS and Health Education courses in Alameda County. I have two Step Daughters Janet 24 and Colleen 18. Weve had/have numerous horses and dogs (aussies and Queenlands).
In '90 I Became Assistant Adminstrator of Golden State Rehabilitation Hospital in San Ramon, then accepted a position with Vencor Hospital (San Leandro)as Administrator of Clinical Operations. In 2003 we built our new home just South of Lake Comanche. We had it shipped, panalized construction, from South Carolina in January and had the walls up and roof on in about a week. It was an open - with exterior doors/windows - shell...we designed and built out the interior/rest and moved in in August. House has 18 sides and is two stories with lots of decks. A bit different, you've prossibly seen them in magazine adds with windows and decks around the house.....
Laurie now works for Sutter Amador Hospital...Foundation Development....and I am considering my options....early retirement or possibly teaching again.
I went back to work with Sutter Health as the Director of Physician Operations for San Joaquin County in 2004 and assited operations and the building of the Stockton Medical Plaza. housing about 70 physicans and all " General" services onsite including Diagnostic Imaging, Lab, Urgent Cae and a free standing Surgery Center.
